TENSES from Hindi to English – Part 1 (Present Simple Tense)

Present Tense: वर्तमान काल

 

It expresses an event that is happening now. Present Tense also talks about actions performed habitually and occurrences that are true of the present time.

यह एक घटना को व्यक्त करता है जो अभी हो रही है। वर्तमान काल आदतन किए गए कार्यों और वर्तमान समय की घटनाओं के बारे में भी बात करता है।

 

Examples:

उदाहरण:

The sun rises in the east.

सूरज पूरब में उगता है।

He sings well.

वह अच्छा गाता है।

You eat quite fast.

आप काफी तेजी से खाते हैं।

I go to the market every Saturday.

मैं हर शनिवार को बाजार जाता हूं।

 

There are four types of Present Tense:

 

Simple Present Tense: सरल वर्तमान काल

 

Present Simple Tense talks about events and actions that are happening all the time. These are present occurrences and conditions, habits, and general truths.

सरल वर्तमान काल हर समय होने वाली घटनाओं और कार्यों के बारे में बात करता है। ये वर्तमान घटनाएं और शर्तें, आदतें और सामान्य सत्य हैं।

Formula: Subject +V1 +s/es +Object

फॉर्मूला: सब्जेक्ट+ क्रिया (V1) + एस/ईएस+ ऑब्जेक्ट

1. I catch the bus every day.

मैं रोज बस पकड़ता हूं।

2. He goes for a walk every morning.

वह रोज सुबह टहलने जाते हैं।

3. She donates money to the orphanage every month.

वह हर महीने अनाथालय को पैसे दान करती है।

4. We eat lunch outside every two weeks.

हम हर दो हफ्ते में दोपहर का खाना बाहर खाते हैं।

5. He eats cereals for breakfast.

वह नाश्ते में अनाज खाता है।

6. The sunsets in the west.

सूर्य पश्चिम में अस्त होता है

 

Negative:

नकारात्मक:

1. He does not eat breakfast every day.

वह रोज नाश्ता नहीं करता है।

2. I do not go jogging.

मैं जॉगिंग के लिए नहीं जाता।

3. She plays the guitar well.

वह गिटार अच्छा बजाती है।

4. We do not catch the train every week.

हम हर हफ्ते ट्रेन नहीं पकड़ते हैं।

5. You do not come here often.

आप यहां बार-बार नहीं आते।

6. The moon does not shine during the day.

चाँद दिन में नहीं चमकता।

Formula: Subject +does not/ do not +V1 +s/es +Object

फॉर्मूला: सब्जेक्ट+ नहीं करता/नहीं करता है+ V1 s/es +ऑब्जेक्ट

क्या वह हर शुक्रवार को चर्च जाता है?

क्या आपको क्रिकेट से प्यार है?

3. Does he not play guitar?

क्या वह गिटार नहीं बजाता?

4. Do they not eat pasta for dinner?

क्या वे रात के खाने में पास्ता नहीं खाते हैं?

5. Do I not go to the party?

क्या मैं पार्टी में नहीं जाता?

6. Does she not come here regularly?

क्या वह यहाँ नियमित रूप से नहीं आती ?

Formula: Does/Do+ Subject+ not+V1+Object.

How to write short answers with Present Simple Tense:

सरल वर्तमान काल के साथ संक्षिप्त उत्तर कैसे लिखें:

1. Do you need anything?

क्या आपको कुछ चाहिए?

• Yes, I do.
• हाँ, मुझे चाहिए
• No, I don’t.
• नहीं, मुझे नहीं चाहिए ।

2. Does he like juice?

उसे जूस पसंद है?

• Yes, he does.
• हाँ, पसंद है।
• No, he doesn’t.
• नहीं, पसंद नहीं है।

3. Does she have breakfast?

क्या वह नाश्ता करती है?

• Yes, she does.
• हाँ, वह करती है।
• No, he doesn’t
• नहीं, वह नहीं करती है।

4. Do I want this?

क्या मुझे यह चाहिए?

• Yes, I do.
• हाँ, मुझे चाहिए।
• No, I don’t.
• नहीं, मुझे नहीं चाहिए

5. Does it bite?

क्या यह काटता है?

• Yes, it does.
• हाँ, यह काटता है ।
• No, it doesn’t.
• नहीं, यह काटता नहीं है ।

 

WH Questions with Present Simple Tense:

वर्तमान सरल काल के साथ WH प्रश्न:

1. Where do you go to college?

आप कॉलेज कहाँ जाते हैं?

• I go to college in Delhi.
• मैं दिल्ली में कॉलेज जाता हूँ।

2. What time does the show start?

शो कितने बजे शुरू होता है?

• The show starts at 8pm.
• शो रात 8 बजे शुरू होता है।

3. How often do you go to English class?

आप कितनी बार अंग्रेजी कक्षा में जाते हैं?

• I go to English class twice a week.
• मैं सप्ताह में दो बार अंग्रेजी की कक्षा में जाता हूँ।

4. When do you plan to visit Jane?

आप जेन की यात्रा कब करने की योजना बना रहे हैं?

• I am planning to visit her tomorrow.
• मैं कल उससे मिलने की योजना बना रहा हूं

5.Where do you play badminton?

आप बैडमिंटन कहाँ खेलते हैं?

• I play badminton in the court near to my house.
• मैं अपने घर के पास के कोर्ट में बैडमिंटन खेलता हूँ

Write the correct Present simple Tense from the brackets.
